Labor and Delivery Suites

Sisters of Charity Hospital features 12 labor and delivery suites on the same floor as our operating rooms, should you need a cesarean section, 29 private patient rooms in the Mother Baby Unit (MBU), and a state-of-the-art Level III NICU where mom and baby receive critical care under the same roof.

Our Sisters Information Desk at the main entrance. Before 8:00 p.m., enter through the main entrance and you’ll be directed to the Mother/ Baby unit on the first floor of the hospital.

Your labor and delivery nurses are there every step of the way to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible. We’re here to make sure you’re aware of the many choices you have so you can have the labor experience you want. Yours and your baby’s safety are our top priorities.

Relaxing Recovery

Following the birth of your child, you will move to our family birth place for recovery and bonding with your baby. Our private patient rooms feature bathrooms with showers and free wifi. You’ll receive a food menu to custom order your meals.

Room for Loved Ones

Each room has a sleeper sofa where the father or partner may stay.

Bathroom Essentials

Each postpartum room has a bathroom with a shower.

Our Nursery

While we encourage rooming in, you are welcome to send your baby to the nursery so you can get a little rest. The nursing team will take great care of your baby and let you catch up on sleep.

NICU

Our new family centered level III NICU has the latest in equipment with 31 private rooms. Here, we can take care of babies born as young as 23 weeks gestation. The NICU is designed to encourage you to be with your baby as much as possible.
