At Home Comfort

The birthing suites at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital offer the safety and size of traditional delivery rooms, in a home-like setting. Our birthing suites include televisions, phones, water massage showers, special birthing beds with inflatable lumbar support, and fetal monitors that allow moms to walk around during labor. We also offer private postpartum suites for recovery.

Emergency Entrance

Before 8:00 p.m., please enter through the main entrance. You will be directed to the elevators that will take you to the Center for Women on the 2nd floor. After 8:00 p.m., please enter through the emergency department.

Women's Services

The entire 2nd floor of the hospital is dedicated to women’s services, including the beautiful new Center for Women, with the medical offices and staff right down the hall from labor and delivery.

Comfortable Spaces

Our new labor & delivery rooms feature special birthing beds with an inflatable lumbar section for extra back support and fetal monitors, which allow mom to move and walk around during labor.

Our staff is part of your care team — every step of the way. Unlike many hospitals, our team is all EFM (external fetal monitor) and NRP (neonatal resuscitation program) certified.

Relaxing Recovery

Following the birth of your child, you'll move to a private room for recovery and bonding with your baby. Our private patient rooms feature televisions, free wifi and room for visitors. We encourage rooming in, but you’re welcome to send baby to the nursery for a few hours where our staff will take great care of your baby so you can get a little rest.
